Matt Hall qualifies for state diving

McCook High School freshman Matt Hall qualified for state in 100-meter diving with a 301.70-point effort Thursday at the McCook duals.
The Bison boys were defeated by Kearney 84-25 and North Platte 78-26. The Kearney boys edged out North Platte 56-54.
Kearney's girls defeated McCook 70-42 and North Platte 79-34. McCook lost to North Platte 56-51.
Other highlights for the Bison were:
* Senior Jessica Hall improved her state-qualifying 100-meter diving score with 341.25 points.
* The Bison girls 200 free relay of Allyx Brown, Cassie Olson, Alyssa Cook and Kirstie Hiatt broke their own school record with a time of 1:56.22.
This is a secondary qualifying time for the state meet Feb. 24-26 in Lincoln.
* The girls 200 medley relay of Amy Lester, Monique Monzon, Allyx Brown and
* Alyssa Cook posted a secondary qualifying time for state at 1:13.90.
