Smokin' thoughts

Wednesday, January 12, 2005

Mr. Anderson, (congratulations on quitting the habit) your thoughts are well-received; however, smoker or not (I am not) when I go to a bar I expect there to be smokers. Banning smoking in all public establishments is a little harsh.

If you don't want to be around the smoke, don't go. Apply the same to many situations: don't like nudity on TV, shut it off, don't care for certain music, don't listen.

I agree there are places smoking should not be allowed i.e., family-style restaurants. A bar is a totally different atmosphere, and I believe when people enter a bar they know what they will be exposed to.

Let the bar owners decide whether or not smoking is allowed.

Just my thoughts.
