NRD revolt?

Tuesday, October 26, 2004

Dear Editor,

The Middle Republican NRD could be facing the fact that they can be replaced, also a revolt if they continue with their proposed water management plans on farmers-irrigators.

Their farms are their life and business. The cost to raise the grain for food is very high, by not getting a crop, due to lack of water, they could be sold out to meet their expenses, then large corporations take over, food will be priced out of sight.

Food should be first priority, surplus.

How long will it last if there is any? Use common sense.

The problem started above us, water on golf courses, parks, etc., should be cut off. These items can be replaced; you can't, food.

Also, households, showers, baths, leaking faucets, lawns. As to taking out trees that help purify our air, use common sense.

The problem can be solved by putting it on other items, not food or one special group. Common sense is the answer.

Thank you.

Martha Brooks,

Cambridge
