Life Chain Oct. 3

Dear Editor,

The Nationwide Life Chain Sunday is Oct. 3. This event will provide a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community, that the Church of Christ founded, is opposed to the killing of unborn children.

Join us at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, at the J.C. Penney parking lot for McCook's 15th annual Life Chain. The prayer stand is from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Signs will be provided.

May our efforts, however, reach much farther than our own city limits. May they sing loud in the ears of those in public office who make decisions that affect not only the lives of the unborn, but the entire direction of our great country.

With miles of sidewalks covered by Christians nationwide, no one can possibly miss our message.

Everyone is welcome to participate.

Also, the annual McCook Right to Life Rummage Sale will be on Friday, Oct. 8, and Sat. Oct. 9, at the K.C. Hall, 308 E. Ninth. We will be accepting items at the hall on Wednesday, Oct. 6, after 1 p.m. and all day Thursday, Oct. 7.
