Comments from Oberlin coach

Pat Dorshorst on

Phillipsburg match:

"Oberlin played extremely well early in the match. In the first game we had a 22-14 lead.

"We got out of our rhythm and started playing their off speed game. With our size we need to stay aggressive and powerful at the net to defeat other teams."

Oberlm Vs. Leoti

Top Server: Christa Hardy 6/6 with 1 ace

Top Passer: Kaitlyn Stapp 20/20 with 7 digs

Top Setter: Heather Williams 32/34

Top Hitler: Emmie Pauls 8/8 with 4 kills

Top Blocker: Lydia Kamopp 5 point blocks

Comments on Leoti match:

"We played consistently the entire match against Leoti. We dominated the net like we needed to and stayed aggressive through most of the match.

For the first time when a team was making a charge at getting back in the match we fought them off for the win.

Oberlin Vs. Oakley

Top Server: Tricia Dorshorst 11/11

Top Passer: Lauren Fortin 20/21 with 9 digs

Top Setter: Heather Williams 30/30

Comments on Oakley match:

"We were very fatigued when we played Oakley. It was late and we had just played the Leoti match.

"We did some good things but we were not in condition to play back to back matches in a hot gym.

"Oakley made some nice save on some of our power hits and we were not ready for the quick return.

"They scrapped well against us, we did not have the energy late in the match to fight back."
