Letter to the Editor

Another forum?

Friday, August 27, 2004

Dear Editor,

I was pleased at Mr. Yost's understanding and compliance of the public's feelings and frustration at all the cockamamie, blind-sighted, and uninteresting letters from Mr. Yost and especially Mr. Anderson.

Those sorts of letters fail to excite, educate, or be of any benefit for me and many others.

If you want a forum for your "views," okay, just don't inflict the general public with them.

Here's a suggestion for those like-minded (minded?) individuals who want to spout private religious obsessions: take it to the park, your own homes, someplace (!) where you don't offend your fellow man.

Here's a suggestion for our wonderful Gazette: (Yes, you are wonderfully patient with us all) since you seem to have several who believe they are spokespersons for their own formula and interpretation for and of the Bible, why don't you print their letters in the religion section? It would serve two-fold benefits.

1. People would not need to read the signature first in forum letters before perusing that section, and;

2. All the religious items would be in one place, and since the ordained are allowed to write articles why not put these other 'secretly ordained in their own mind' individuals in the same place?

You don't put want ads in the sports page, nor do you put comics in the obits.

Give us a break, thou editor of the news.
