Letter to the Editor

Born-again fanatic

Wednesday, August 25, 2004

Dear Editor:

I'd like to offer a reply to Robert A. Yost and his letter of 8-24-A.D. 2004.

Yes, Robert, I am a born again Christian fanatic. Thank you for the compliment. The students in Winston Salem, N.C., have signed up for the Bible course -- 500 hundred of them. The Bible is not being forced on any of them. However, there are some schools in California that are teaching Islam as a course, but do not offer any courses on the Bible or Christianity. Some of the public schools in the U.S.A. teach evolution as a fact, even though it's a theory. (A theory cannot be proven, it is base on faith only.)

It appears to me that the leftists who have instigated the teaching of Islam have in fact surrendered without a fight, to the terrorists.

Twelve of the original 13 American Colonies incorporated the entire Ten Commandments into their civil and criminal laws. The A.C.L.U. is attempting to steal all of our Christian freedoms. I've always believed that if someone will steal from you, they will steal from you.

If the A.C.L.U. is successful, you are next, Robert. Imagine a whole unit of leftist lawyers with nothing to do. The A.C.L.U. also defends child pornography. What does that tell you?

Myself, I'm going to heed the words of Oliver Cromwell, a note Christian. "Put your trust in God, my boys, but mind to keep your powder dry."

Robert, you need to lead, follow or get out of the way. If you are not for Jesus, you are against him. There is no neutral ground concerning Christianity. True Christianity is not "religion," it is a close personal relationship with Jesus. As a Bible believing, born again Christian Fanatic, every day is a holiday and every meal is a banquet.

Sincerely,

George R. Anderson

McCook
