Wants old fair back

Dear Editor,

Once again the fair has come and gone. We took our daughter up this year and walked around the midway about four times checking things out.

And I now know why people say they aren't impressed or they go to a different county fair.

There was no Ferris wheel, the Paratrooper was out of order, and another ride sounded like it was ready to fly apart.

What happened to the old fair of a few years ago? I remember 15-20 years ago when they had an exciting carnival and had top-name rock-n-roll and/or country singers or bands.

What happened to the carnival that used to come up from Texas and set up?

That was thrilling when they were there. Maybe the fair board should ask the public what kind of entertainment they would like to see.

Or, the public could offer up some ideas. Let's get our fair of old back. Hey ... it's only my opinion!
