Letter to the Editor

Voting your conscious

Monday, June 7, 2004

Dear Editor:

I am writing in response to Bob Thayer's letter and challenge to me.

Let me reiterate what I said in my previous letter. Romans 13:1-2 says Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained (brought into existence by) God. vs 2 Whoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Please read verses 3-5 also.

The Bible tells us that one of the signs that we are living in the last of the LAST DAYS is that men shall not be afraid to speak evil of those in authority.

Bob, I used to vote for as many Democrats as I did Republicans. But the Democrats took that away from me when they put abortion rights in their plank and since then their agenda has increasingly become more wicked (Anti-God). So in good conscience before God I must vote otherwise. Have you noticed how the south (the Bible belt), for the most part, has turned Republican?

Are Republicans perfect? Of course not, nor can they be because they are sinners just like you and I. The only perfect man whoever walked the earth is going to come back soon to rule and reign, in perfect righteousness, the whole world, and of the increase of His government there shall be no end. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

Cordially,

Paul Schneider
