Letter to the Editor

Great family

Friday, May 28, 2004

Dear Editor,

Well, another year has closed with more graduating classes taking a big step in life.

As a child my father was in the army so we moved more times than enough. For every year of high school I was in a different state.

The one foal I made was if and when I had a family we would settle down without moving ... that was a dream. In 1992 my wife and our five boys moved from Lincoln to this area in September and on Labor Day weekend I started work for the Stewarts at the Chief Restaurant.

That is when I discovered that they were a very close Christian family that worked hard for their business.

Through the years, we have worked with each other, we watched each other's children go through school, play in sports, have friends, learn to drive and graduate, and move on in life, like many others.

Well I just wanted to say, this is something I missed growing up, and I admire the Stewarts for setting this example of a good Christian family, and that is one of the reasons I have enjoyed working for them all these years, this is what family life is about.

Well, my oldest boy graduated from high school this year and Monday I said good bye to him, for he went off to boot camp for he enlisted in the army. Well, that brought tears to my eyes, but they were happy tears, worried tears, just like all other parents.

I will say this ... my goal I had came as a dream come true, this area was a great area to live in to raise my five boys in and have the good Christian life, and I thank Jesus Christ for I prayed to him and it was then I was introduced to the Stewart family.

Sincerely yours,

Kevin Dunn,

Bartley
