Make a water bank

Wednesday, April 14, 2004

Dear Editor,

Just as you have a checking account to save and keep track of your dollars, so it is a nice idea to save your water until you need it.

Put a few drops of dish soap in it to kill skeeter eggs and even a screen during the hot summer to double your defense. With city water jumping higher than a jack rabbit and corporations both commercial and farming laying claims to all the ground water the only hope is to look elsewhere for water. This last half-inch white rain over filled this 100 gallon tank along with my other four barrels. Small plants need much less water than during the killer 100 degree days so this water will go well over a month.

Can you guess how many locals use no city water nor ground water at all at their homes?
