Voter registration booths provided

Dear Editor:

I would like to thank the parents of the ward PTO's and school officials for inviting my office to provide voter registration sites at Parent-Teacher Conferences last week. With the help of Martha Roe and Tom Bredvick arrangements were made for Deputy County Clerk Tami Teel and Brenda Hayes, along with the help of parent volunteers, to register voters at Central Elementary and the Junior High School on Thursday evening and Friday morning.

I would like to thank the parents who registered to vote for the first time and those who took the time to stop by the booth to make sure their voter registration information is current. Your vote is important at every election!

Voter registration deadlines are April 23 for mailed-in registrations and May 3 for registering in the County Clerk's Office. A voter registration form can be downloaded from the Red Willow County Web site www.nol.org/red_willow and mailed to the Red Willow County Clerk, 502 Norris Ave., McCook, NE 69001.
