Thanks, officer

Dear Editor,

I want to express my appreciation to the Nebraska patrol officer who stopped me on the road to the cemetery last Saturday evening about 9 p.m.

I was coming to town after visiting the cemetery grave of my wife. He had seen me drive around out there after dark and was checking to see if everything was OK. He said there had been vandalism in the area. He was just on the lookout. I did not get his name, but certainly appreciate his watching out.

I think we owe all such officers a debt of gratitude.
