The next step

Tuesday, January 27, 2004

Dear Friends,

AWESOME! WONDERFUL! MARVELOUS! These are all superlatives that describe what happened this past week here in McCook.

More than 900 responded to the invitation to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. I have never seen anything like it in my lifetime.

I want to thank the ministers of the Red Willow County Ministerial Association for sponsoring the POWER TEAM. You certainly have great vision and a real burden for the lost.

I want to thank all of those volunteers who helped unload all of the concrete blocks, slabs of concrete, slabs of ice, sound equipment etc. and then load it back up after the meetings were over.

Also, all of those who worked as stage hands and counselors.

And then I want to thank all of you who gave to help raise the over $21,000 that was needed to take care of the expenses to bring them to McCook.

I visited with folks who came from as far away as Alma and Ogallala.

If you are a person who received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you need to take the next step and begin attending one of the churches that helped sponsor the POWER TEAM.

These churches and pastors will welcome you with open arms and make you feel right at home. Don't hesitate to take this next step. The Bible (Gods Word) says, "As newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby."

You have taken the first step, now take the second one. A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step and continues from there. What a journey this will be for you.

Your Friend,

Paul Schneider

McCook
