Haag, Peterson unite in spring ceremony

Amanda and Aaron Peterson

INDIANOLA -- Amanda Sue Haag and Aaron Matthew Peterson, both of McCook, were united in marriage May 25, 2002 at St. Catherines Catholic Church in Indianola with the Rev. Gary Brethour, of St. Patrick's Church in McCook, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Steve and Shari Haag of McCook and Michael and Lisa Peterson of Lincoln.

Grandparents of the couple are Ray and Myrna Haag of Bartley, Sara Reiners of Marion, Jerry and Diana Asher of Page, Doris Ziska of O'Neill and V.K. Peterson of Stuart.

Mindy Haag of McCook, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Schmoker of Hays, Kan., cousin of the bride, Sara Cappel, Jen Arterburn and Stef Soden, all of McCook.

Amy Peterson of Omaha, sister of the bridegroom, served as the bride's personal attendant.

Tony Peterson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, brother of the bridegroom, served as the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Paul Pistulka of Omaha, Joe Haag of McCook, brother of the bride, Alex Bauer of McCook and Tyler Kotrous of O'Neill.

Courtney Leitner of Herndon, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. The ring bearer was Isaac Larson of McCook, nephew of the bride.

Greeters for the ceremony were Danielle and Kami Diederich of Oberlin, cousins of the bride. Ushers were Adam Haag, brother of the bride, Jarrod Schmoker, cousin of the bride, Brock Rogers and Jeremy Shaw, all of McCook.

Bubble attendants were Caitlin Leitner of Herndon and Jori Diederich of Oberlin, cousins of the bride.

Corinda McConville of Indianola was the organist and Paul and Carrie Serberger of Boise, Idaho, cousins of the bride, were the vocalists.

A reception took place at the McCook Community Building. Allisha Melroy of Holdredge was the guest book attendant.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of McCook High School and a 2002 graduate of McCook Community College. She is attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney majoring in elementary education.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Holdredge High School and a 1999 graduate of Southeast Community College in Milford. He is employed as an engineering technician at W Design Associates in McCook.

The couple is making their home in McCook.
