Love it or leave it

Dear Editor:

On Friday, July 4, I visited my mother at 907 E. Fourth Street. I was outraged to see her neighbors to the north had pulled up the little flag and thrown it on the ground. In my opinion, and the opinion of many others, this is disrespectful and unpatriotic.

I am further outraged to think that my nephew and many other young men and women are risking their lives in Iraq and other countries, for such ungrateful people as these, so that they may enjoy the freedom the citizens of the U.S. haze.

In closing, I have one other comment to make: Love it or Leave it. I also want to say thanks to the many volunteers who placed the flags in front of many homes.
