Rediscovered town

Dear Editor,

I was just trying to decide what to search for when I decided to search for my old home town newspaper. After all, I haven't lived in McCook since 1943 when I boarded the train to go to Denver.

I had just graduated from high school and Uncle Sam said he needed some good men. Ha

When in the Air Force, I met a very nice girl in Des Moines, Iowa, and as a result I live in Iowa.

The high school band comes to mind when I think of McCook, Mr. Kelley, Bill's dad, was band leader then. I'm still thankful for the education I received in McCook High School.

You have a very nice Web page and from now on I will be reading the Gazette news.
