STRATTON, Neb. — A tornado struck the Hitchcock County community of Stratton Sunday evening, causing roof and power line damage and prompting safety warnings from local authorities. The Hitchcock County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Stratton sustained damage from heavy hail and at least one tornado.
