McCOOK, Nebraska -- The McCook, Nebraska, Public Schools (MPS) board of education hired two new teachers and approved change orders to new elementary classrooms under construction during its June meeting Monday evening. The board approved a 7/8-time contract for Kathryn "Kate" Repass of Hayes Center, who will be McCook's "special populations coordinator." Repass is filling the position of English Language Learner (ELL) para-professional and ELL coordinator, and will also be in charge of the schools' Title I program. ...
