City agrees in principle to TIF plan

The city will assist in the $4 million renovation of the Keystone Hotel as a business center, in the form of tax increment financing and bonding. The McCook City Council unanimously agreed at a special meeting Friday night to be willing to use tax increment financing for 15 years, or TIF, when the future increased property value on an improved property can be used to finance its development...
