Sunday liquor sales on council agenda

The McCook City Council will decide what direction to take concerning hard liquor sales on Sunday, at its regular meeting Monday night at 7:30 at City Council Chambers. Council members will also consider a special exception for a proposed daycare at 702 W. Second. The McCook Planning Commission recommended approval of the special exception at their Nov. 13 meeting despite hearing objections from property owners in the area...

Have you ever had a job that you truly enjoyed, at least most of the time? For nearly four and a half years, I was employed at Subway in McCook. Yes, there were many stressful times while working there, but as I worked the closing shift my last few years, a great sense of accomplishment was felt each night as I locked the store up for the day...
