Point 1 - I agree! We really enjoyed the show too!

Point 2 - Good point! I do wonder how some city folk would hold up to the perceived limited selection available in smaller communities, but the lack of pushing and shoving should more than make up the loss.

Point 3 - We've not seen the Toy Box you bring up, but will make a point next year not to miss it.

Point 4 - I've seen Santa arrive by train, plane, and automobile... even parachute. Most kids as you mention however are used to the mall Santa experience.

Point 5 - Will be nice for a change for us too. The last 5 years we spent on the road had us in a different town or city every Christmas. Last Christmas we didn't have a church family yet...we've since corrected that!

Great post. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family too Lori!

  • Happy New Year to you and your family!!

Loved Point 5. We stayed home each year with the exception of only a couple of Christmases. As the girls were older that was sometime their only respite from all the school winter activities.

The Toy Box elves do super work and have for years and years. Thanks for giving them a pat on the back.

I personally know one of the elves and know how hard they work all year long.
