Good Luck SW Volleyball

Posted Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 7:35 AM

Just a quick note to wish Coach Troester and the SW volleyball girls good luck at the State Tournament.

The tournament is in the GI/Hastings venues this year but it is still STATE!! Whoo hoo!!

Yes, I am a bit partial to volleyball and have some great memories of watching the RV/SW teams at State.

Safe travels to the team and fans to and from the games.

On to round two - Yeah!! The following score was taken from the NSAA website. www.nsaahome.org under the volleyball tab and the state results screen.

The Lady Roughriders beat Shelby/RC in three sets.

25-23, 25-12 and 25-23. They go on to play Lincoln High Northeast tonight in GI.

One of the better moves by the NSAA in was the addition of the 3rd/4th place matches!! This way the top 4 places at the tournament are decided. Plus it gives volleyball fans additional matches.

PS: The retailers in GI and Hastings have to be loving the boost the their local economy.

Continued good luck to the participants and coaches.

On to the 3rd/4th place match on Saturday against Thayer Central Titans. The Titans are another consolidated school formally the Hebron Bears and the CHB (Chester-Hubbell-Byron) Bulldogs!

You have Indianola, Danbury, Bartley, Lebanon up against Hebron, Chester, Hubbell and Byron. There is the geography lesson for the evening.

Have a great weekend and again safe travels to all those who go to support their teams.
