  • Welcolm, Betsy! I can empathize with you because I also lack the foo foo gene but spent two years as a freelance writer for bridal magazines. That was six years ago, and for the life of me, I can no longer remember what a French bustle is. Let me get back to you on that. Congrats to your daughter on her engagement! Best advice for brides-to-be (and their family): keep your sense of humor.

  • Congratulations on your new endeavor - I think it will be quite fun for you. Actually, I think a Frech Bustle is the "plumey" ruffle that sits at the back of the waist just above the skirt - or backside! Keep it up! MC
