McCOOK, Neb — An officer was injured and a subject shot in an incident late Monday night in west McCook.

Red Willow County Attorney Paul Wood said he was still gathering information but did know that an officer was injured and a subject shot in the incident.

He said the subject was taken to a Kearney hospital and the officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. Wood declined to release the name of the subject who was shot and the officer involved.

Information on the subject's condition was not immediately available.

An ambulance was dispatched to the 1900 block of West B at 10:52 p.m., and another to Old Highway 6 at 10:59 p.m.
