McCOOK, Neb. — McCook First Central Bank Juniors couldn’t quite hold on to an early lead and lost 6-3 to Minden Sunday afternoon which finished a tough baseball weekend.

The Juniors (1-8) saw Cole Graham score twice while Nathaniel Miller also rounded those bases.

Bryson Gullion drilled an RBI-double and Brett Fraker drove home another FCB teammate.

However, visiting Minden responded with a pair of three-run innings to take control.

On Saturday, FCB dropped an 8-3 home contest vs. Ogallala though Miller did bat in all three RBIs.

Miller and Jalen Collicott both crushed doubles for coach Coy Terry’s team.

Lincoln Michaelis scored another run as McCook again built a 3-1 lead only to see Ogallala rally. Quentin Terry struck out eight visitors in his 3 1/3 innings on the mound.

On Friday, the Juniors dropped a 14-1 contest at Broken Bow.

Layton Bortner drove home Peyton Dellevoet with both Juniors delivering hits.

Bow broke free thanks to an eight-run fourth inning.
