College board meets next week

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- The Mid-Plains Community College board of governors will discuss a real estate purchase in executive session and then vote on whether to purchase property connecting the North Platte Community College South Campus to Highway 83.

Those items are on the agenda for a meeting set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at NPCC's North Campus.

The board will consider non-negotiated administrative and staff pay, and the president's contract.

Other items include the first reading of an amended policy covering scholarships and tuition waivers, the purchase of data center racks, air conditioners and uninterruptible power supplies, as well as a virtual desktop server.

Governors will also consider a Perkins Grant purchase of equipment to allow students to become certified in torque wrench usage.

The next meeting is set for June 24 at the Ogallala Community Campus, 6:30 p.m.
