McCOOK, Neb. == Carryout is always popular at barbecue restaurants, and now is as good a time as any for Braxton's Brisket Barbique to open in McCook, owner Steven Powell said.

The restaurant at 102 Norris Ave. named after his wife, the "Barbi" in barbique, and their son, Braxton, 3, is their second location; the other at 116 S. Fourth in Atwood, Kan.

Braxton's is open from "11 a.m. till gone," he said, and offers ribs, brisket, pork belly, pulled pork sides and specialties.
