Church offers Easter Bible Drive-Through event on Good Friday

Wednesday, April 8, 2020

McCOOK, Neb. -- People looking for a Good Friday church service on April 10 will likely find locked doors, due to the coronavirus. But one church in town will have a special Easter experience for those who drive by the church.

McCook E-Free Church is joining a nationwide effort to invite people into the Resurrection story with an Easter Bible Drive-Through. Maintaining social distancing, each driver will be offered a free Jesus-Centered Bible (Group Publishing).

The drive-through will be offered from 5:45-6:15 P.M. at the church at 602 East 14th in McCook this Friday.

Drivers will remain in their vehicles as they pick up the Bibles. The free Bibles will be available while supplies last, according to church leaders.

Each Bible will be already marked with the Easter story, and other passages of hope.

Pastor Trevor Smith, the church’s youth pastor, said 100 churches across the United States are participating in the Easter Bible Drive-Through.

The effort was organized by Group Publishing of Loveland, Colorado, which publishes the Jesus-Centered Bible.
