Virginia Genevieve (Sauer) Rezac

MESA, Ariz. — Virginia Genevieve Rezac (Sauer) was born on Feb. 12, 1941, in Buckman Township, Minn., and left this world on March 26, 2020, in Mesa.

She is survived by her children, Siobhan (Tom) Hudson of Tennessee, Chantal St. Claire of Minnesota, Jarred Hayford of Indiana, Dominique Nikki (Jim) Frease of Nebraska, and Amber Cunningham of Arizona; siblings, Maxine (Sauer) Skiba, Maurice Sauer, Alfred Jr Sauer, and Gilbert Sauer; grandchildren Jessica, Joshua, Sahara, Quinn, Devin, Sarita, Jordan, Cole, Tanner, Dakota, Lillian, and Courtney; nine great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by her husband, K. Duke Rezac, parents, Alfred Sauer Sr. and Rose (Stellmach); sisters, Alice (Sauer) Shoberg, Louine (Sauer) Prokosch, Betty (Sauer) Brown, Marianne (Sauer) Holewa; and her brother, Gregory Sauer.

Virginia will be remembered and cherished for her loving sarcasm, fierce independence, and strength of heart. A celebration of life will be held later this year in Minnesota, when travel permits.
