TRENTON, Neb. — Kelsey Eyl, age 25, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, in Aurora, Colo.

Kelsey was born May 11, 1994, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to parents, Brian James and Tami Marie (Lashley) Eyl. She was one of three daughters born to this union. The family later relocated to Trenton, where Kelsey attended school, graduating from Hitchcock County High School with the Class of 2013.

Kelsey was a participant in the Special Olympics. Her favorite events were track and field, bowling and swimming. She was a member of a local 4-H Club in Trenton, where she enjoyed baking and showing bucket calves. Kelsey had a love for animals and considered her three cows, Sweetheart, Lucky and Ugg, her pets. She also loved her dog, Rags. Kelsey had a big heart and lived life to the fullest. She could often be found outside with her dad, Brian, either riding Harleys or working on them together. She wanted to be just like her big sister, Kwencey, and she enjoyed helping her mom, Tami, do anything and everything. Her favorite cartoon character was Betty Boop.

Kelsey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clyde (Valda) Eyl; her grandfather, Billy Lashley; sister, Kaley Eyl; uncle, Kenneth Lashley; and cousin, Vincent Eyl.

Those left to celebrate her life include her parents, Brian (Tami) Eyl of Trenton; sister, Kwencey (Casey) House; grandmother, Darlene Lashley of Colorado Springs; 17 aunts and uncles; 23 cousins; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service, beginning at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at the Church of God in Trenton.

A funeral service will follow visitation, beginning at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at the Church of God in Trenton with Pastors Jason Smith and Johnny Walker officiating.

Burial will be in Rosefield Cemetery, rural Hitchcock County, Neb.
