With four first-year varsity players, the McCook High boys qualified their entire team for Class B state next week thanks to their No. 3 finish in today's B-4 district tournament at North Platte Lake Maloney Golf Course. The Bison shot 339 as a team to place behind only champion North Platte and runner-up Cozad in Joe Vetrovsky's first season as Bison head coach. Top three teams from each district qualify for state at Columbus starting one week from today. Sophomore Brady Esch shot 78 to lead McCook and Payton Craw fired his season-low round of 83. Look for more details in Tuesday's Gazette.
