NORTH PLATTE, Neb. - Marilyn Kay Iverson was born in McCook, Neb., on March 31, 1948, to Alvin C. and Margaret G. (Schilz) Heskett. Marilyn grew up and attended school in the McCook area graduating McCook High School in 1966. She continued her education at the College of St. Mary’s in Omaha, Neb.

Marilyn married Robert W. Iverson in McCook on October 7, 1967, and to this union six children were born: Jerome, Marie, Theresa, Raquel, David and Jason. Marilyn later found her life partner of nearly four decades Gernon “Butch” D. Crider.

During Marilyn’s working years she was a head chef, and a secretary for several businesses in Imperial, Neb., where she made her home. Later in life, she also enjoyed many volunteer positions with her senior BFF; Kate Davis.

Marilyn passed away May 10th, 2019, at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, Neb. She was 71 years of age.

Marilyn is survived by her lifetime companion; Butch Crider of Imperial, Neb., her children; Jerome Iverson and wife, Anne, of Lincoln, Neb., Marie Iverson of Dallas, Tex., Theresa Schilke and husband, John, of Imperial, Raquel Ball and husband, Danny, of Norman, Okl., David Iverson and wife, Jennifer, of North Platte, and Jason Iverson and wife, Kristin, of Fort Worth, Tex.; 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Vivian Brown (Jerry) of Kearney, Neb., brother; Doug Heskett (Julie) of Omaha, Neb., brother; Ernest Heskett ( Vicky) of Champion, Neb., sister; Nancy Terryberry (Tom) of Imperial, sister Lois Silvester, of Kearney, Neb., brother; Craig Heskett (Debora) of York, Neb., and sister; Carla Colton (Charles) of Imperial; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Janice, her brother, Kirk, and one great grandchild, Avery.

Mass of the Christian Burial was held Monday May 13, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. (MT) at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, of Imperial with Father Lothar Gilde celebrating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 12, 2019, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Imperial.

A Rosary was recited Sunday evening, May 12, 2019, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Imperial.
