CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Junior Mallie McNair totaled 20 points as the Chase County girls cooled Cambridge, 60-53, in a regular-season finale on Saturday.

The Longhorns prevailed despite 34 points from Trojan junior Korynn Clason.

Senior Allison Owings and sophomore Alexis Richmond added 10 points each to cap the Longhorns’ 12-9 regular season.

Junior Sophie Spady netted another nine points.

The real key was eight Chase three-pointers with McNair, Richmond, senior Taylor Williams and Spady each connecting twice from long distance.

Cambridge (14-7) has been rolling through recent games including an upset of then 20-0 North Platte St. Patrick’s.

Clason canned five of her nine triples while senior Rylee Cross added eight points.
