Kristi A. Neiman

Aug. 29, 1958 - Jan. 18, 2019

WALLACE, Neb. — Kristi A. Neiman, 60, of Wallace, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at her home in Wallace.

Kristi was born Aug. 29, 1958, at McCook, Neb., to Lawrence Eugene and Marjorie Ann (Rickard) Redfield. She graduated from Stratton High School.

Kristi went on to attend the nursing program at Mary Lanning in Hastings. She would work as a registered nurse at the Grand Island Vet’s Home, and later as the director of nursing in at the care home in Mullen. On June 20, 1998, Kristi married Jon Neiman at one of their favorite places to visit, Las Vegas. The couple eventually made their home in Wallace, while Kristi worked at Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant. Kristi retired from Golden Ours in 2017.

Kristi had a caregiver’s spirit and truly cared for the people she looked after. She was a quiet person, but full of depth and vibrancy to those that were lucky enough to know her well. Kristi was genuine, and found fulfillment in simple things, like going shooting with her husband, her dogs, and spending time in the garden. She and Jon liked to spend time in Las Vegas when they got the chance and made many wonderful memories there over the years.

Kristi was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, Jon of Wallace; two brothers, Craig and his fiancee, Lorraine Herrick of Champion, Neb.; Larry and his wife, Tamera, of Lincoln, Neb.; her mother, Marjorie Redfield of McCook; aunt, Dorothy, and husband, Dean Whaley of Trenton, Neb.; along with many other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Kristi’s memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.

Services will be on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. (CST) at the Wallace Community Hall with Denise Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.

Visitation will be today until 6 p.m. (MST) at the Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant.
