Bison trio makes Huskerland All-State

CENTRAL CITY, Neb. — McCook seniors Morgan Fawver, DJ Gross and Colin Giron were all named Class B all-state football first team in Huskerlandprep this week.

The Lincoln Journal-Star and Omaha World-Herald all-state teams are expected to appear this weekend.

Gross became the Bison’s all-time leading tackler on another 9-2 Class B state quarterfinal team.

Giron topped the Bison in sacks which earned him a spot on that Class B all-state defensive line.

Fawver led Class B in punting average to caputre that first-team spot. He was also McCook’s leading pass receiver.

Other class all-state info was not obtained.
