McCOOK, Neb. — Philip G. Cary, age 68, of Chadron, Neb., passed away Wednesday June 20, 2018, at his son’s home in McCook following a courageous battle with cancer.

Philip was born on March 8, 1950, to Gordon and Thelma (Buell) Cary in Greenville, S.C. He married Margaret Gray on Aug. 27, 1969 in Hot Springs, S.D. To this union two sons were born, Chad and Kiel.

Philip was a college professor for 42 years at Chadron State College in Chadron.

Philip enjoyed working with computers and was a member of the Pine Ridge Amateur Radio Club.

Philip is survived by his wife, Margaret Cary of Chadron; two sons, Chad and wife, Heather Cary of Evans, Colo., and Kiel and wife, Melissa Cary of McCook, Neb.; two brothers, Steven and wife, Grace Cary and Dave and wife, Holley Cary; sister, Esther and husband, Ron Allred; also surviving are four grandchildren.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents.
