Budget, facilities, property among items on MPCC agenda

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Following a work session on overall budget parameters and a facilities master plan, the Mid-Plains Community College board of governors is expected to approve the purchase of a home near the McCook Community College campus.

The work session will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, in Room 200 of the W.W. Wood Building on the North Campus of North Platte Community College, 1101 Halligan Drive in North Platte.

Following the work session, the board will convene for a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Among the items to be approved are more than a million dollars in bills for November, followed by consideration of the purchase of the home at 1110 E. Fourth in McCook.

A closed session for negotiations and personnel is on the agenda, followed by possible action after the board returns to open session.

The next meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 in North Platte.
