Thursday, September 21, 2017

McCOOK, Neb. — The baby girl injured in a stroller-car accident Tuesday morning is back home after being treated at Children’s Hospital in Omaha.

Bill Larington of McCook said this morning that his 4-month-old daughter, Ellanor, has bruises, but is doing well. She was home by Wednesday evening.

Bill said his wife, Melissa, is recovering from her injury, a torn ligament in her left foot, and she’s wearing a boot.

The accident happened at the intersection of West First and J streets at 8:05 a.m., as Melissa pushed the stroller northbound through the crosswalk and a westbound car driven by Joel M. Gray, 16, of 419 Seminole, stuck the stroller.

Ellanor was transported to Community Hospital by McCook ambulance personnel, and flown to Omaha.
