DES MOINES, Iowa — Danny Lee Sigwing, longtime resident of McCook, Neb., passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, in Des Moines. He was 72.

Danny was born to William and Maxine V. (Dugger) Sigwing in McCook on June 12, 1945. He graduated from McCook High School in 1963.

Danny was a salesman for various companies over the years.

He enjoyed his grandchildren. In his free time, he could be found hunting, fishing and having coffee with his family and friends.

Danny is survived by his son, Tim Goldstein of Loveland, Colo.; daughters, Cindy Ventry of Lincoln and Janelle (Joel) Danner of West Des Moines, Iowa; brothers, John (Connie) of Redding, Calif., and Jerry (Joann) Sigwing of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Michael Glosser of Dallas, Texas, Dani Lenahan of Milford, Neb., Nicholas and Nathan Goldstein of Loveland, Colo., and Alexis and Drew Danner of West Des Moines, Iowa; two great-grandchildren, Trayton Stewart and Jace Leiting; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Jr.; brothers, Billie, Larry and Gary Sigwing; and one great-grandchild, Aedan Tanner.

A private family inurnment will be at the Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be given in his name to the charity of one’s choice.
