WAUNETA, Neb. -- For the 17th time in 18 games, an opponent could not finish within single digits of Dundy County-Stratton's undefeated girls Thursday evening.

In other words, taco salad and other cuisine were far easier to smell than any upset during this RPAC West tournament title game.

The Wallace Wildcats brought a 12-2 record into this showdown -- but one loss was 60-26 to DC-S last week.

Thursday's rematch really was not much closer.

The Tigers jumped in front 10-0, led 42-17 by halftime and then coasted through a 63-37 win.

Senior Aubrey Frederick's 22 points fueled the Tigers' 18th straight victory while classmate Emily Jones tallied 10.

Sophomore Cami Porter zipped another seven points through the Wauneta-Palisade nets.

Coach Nathan Bielke gave his entire starting five a break before intermission. Reserves kept the Wildcats from making any comebacks.

Allie Bielke's three-pointer was another Tiger highlight.

DC-S (18-0 record) has still seen only one opponent -- Chase County -- play closer than 17 points. The Tigers won a 45-41 battle earlier this month.

They now take on Cambridge in Saturday's RPAC championship game.

The Trojans are also 12-2 after trouncing Alma, 69-40, in Thursday's East title game at Southern Valley High School.

They met just one week earlier at Cambridge with DC-S again starting fast and going on to a 58-41 win.

"You like to play the best teams. We watched the game film (from last week) and saw things we liked and saw things we didn't like," Bielke remarked. "I expect both teams will do some things differently."

The RPAC girls' title game tips off at 6 p.m. on Saturday in McCook Community College's Peter & Dolores Graff Events Center.

Wallace and Alma will play Saturday's RPAC consolation final at 2:45 p.m. at the same site.

Watch for results on Monday.
