The cloud cover was so patchy that drivers -- and especially one biker -- had to wonder where all the rain, and even some hail, came from just after noon Wednesday. B Street in McCook flooded in the deluge. There was half-an-inch of rain -- and one dead beetle -- in a mid-town rain gauge when the rain stopped and the sun came out again.
