Executive director resigns, search underway for chamber chief

McCOOK, Neb. -- The McCook Area Chamber of Commerce announced the resignation of Executive Director Tacie Fawver earlier this week.

According to a press release her letter of resignation stated, "At this time I feel I want to focus more on my family and kids, and look for an opportunity that is a little less consuming, of time and emotion.

This organization has made great strides of progress over the last couple of years, and maybe one day I will be in a season of my life that I would be able to return."

Fawver took over on an interim basis in March of 2012 and was officially appointed to the position three months later.

Her resignation is effective Monday and Chamber of Commerce officials indicated the search for her replacement is already underway.
