MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Katie RaeAnn (Watt) Bradbury, age 34, of Manhattan, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan.

She was born Aug. 11, 1980, in McCook, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles Edward and Kathy Rae (Wilson) Watt.

Katie grew up in Stratton, Nebraska, and graduated with honors from high school in 1998. She then attended and graduated with honors from Chadron State University in 2002, prior to attending and graduating with honors from the University of Nebraska -- Omaha to earn her Physician's Assistant degree in 2004.

She worked for the Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman, Nebraska, for one year, and then McCook Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska, until 2009 when she went to work for Quality Urgent Care in McCook until 2010, when she moved to Manhattan and worked at Irwin-Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley.

On July 28, 2012, in Manhattan, she was married to Clint Michael Bradbury and they became "tag team champions."

Katie was a lover of life, along with being a huge sports fan and after moving to Manhattan, transferred some of her allegiance from the Huskers to the Wildcats. She and Clint had season tickets to the Kansas State Wildcats football and basketball games and she relished the time tailgating with friends and family prior to football games. She enjoyed collecting Watt Pottery, her jewelry and fashion ware, fantasy football, making picks to click with her husband and brothers, fishing, gardening, singing and crocheting, and was one excellent cook. The time she enjoyed the most was spent with family and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her father in 1993.

Survivors include her husband, Clint, of the home. Additional survivors include her three-week-old son, Braxton Charlie Bradbury of the home; her mother and step-father, Rex and Kathy Walgren of Wauneta, Nebraska; two brothers, Chris Watt and his dog, Molly of Holdrege, Nebraska, and Carson Watt and his wife, Jenna of Kearney, Nebraska; two step-siblings, Jaime Weiss and her husband, Jason of Cambridge, Nebraska, and Jeremy Walgren of McCook, Nebraska; her father- and mother-in-law, Russell and Teresa Bradbury of Winfield, Kansas; her sister-in-law, Candace Evers and her husband, Joshua of Springfield, Missouri; five nieces and nephews, Micah, Weston, Jaylea, Jensyn and Jaysek; and her two dogs that she treated like children, Sophie and Tank.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Peace Lutheran Church, 2500 Kimball Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, with Pastor Michael Ide officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tannehill Cemetery, southwest of Winfield, Kansas, with Pastor Beth Wilke officiating.

The family will receive friends and family from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.
