Tractor Relay Across Nebraska includes McCook stop

McCOOK, Neb. The Tractor Relay Across Nebraska to benefit Operation Comfort Warrior will arrive in Norris Park at about 5 p.m. Friday, June 6.

The Tractor Relay Across Nebraska has taken on Operation Comfort Warrior as a charity project for their annual drive.

The Heritage Antique Tractor Club of McCook will be hosting a potluck barbecue for the tractor drive at Norris Park.

The City has allowed the club the use of the 700 Block of East 1st to use as a place to hold a tractor show of the relay tractors and those of the local tractor club.

At 6:30 the band Silver Creek will start playing in the Park band shell. The Knights of Columbus will begin serving food and drink to be purchased by the public.

The event will officially kick off at 7 with introductions by the McCook National Bank and the American Legion with the band performing the National Anthem accompanied by a Color Guard presentation. Food will be served until it runs out and the band will play until 9 p.m.

Donations to Operation Comfort Warrior will be solicited by the American Legion and MNB. The event is sponsored by Klein's Motor and Electric, Plains Equipment, Titan Machinery, the American Legion, MNB, Red Willow Aviation and KIOD and KICX radio stations.
