Voters changing parties to vote for sheriff

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Approximately 35-40 Red Willow County voters have changed their party affiliation to Republican in recent weeks, according to the Red Willow County Clerk's Office, a shift likely related to the Republican only race for county sheriff. Four candidates are vying for the office of Red Willow County Sheriff and, since all are registered as a Republican, the race will be decided during May's Primary Election by a tally of Republican votes.
