ARAPAHOE, Nebraska -- Katherine "Katie" Annette Knight, 42, of McCook, Nebraska, died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2014), at her home.

She was born on July 26, 1971, at Stratton, Nebraska, to Roger and Barbara (Shaffer) Felt.

She attended school at Arapahoe High School at Arapahoe, Nebraska and graduated in 1989. She later married Marlin Schriner of Holdrege, Nebraska, in 1989. In 1997, she married James Parker of Rossville, Georgia. In September of 2000, she married Tony Knight of London, England, and lived there for two years before returning to the United States. Later she moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, and worked as a Hot Shot Driver for an off shore drilling company. In December 2007, she moved to McCook, Nebraska and began working for S.W.A.T.S.

She was preceded in death by her father, and aunt, Susan Shaffer

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Felt of Arapahoe; daughters, Lynette VanWinkle and husband Brice of Neosho, Missouri and Marissa Elliott and husband, Matt of Seneca, Missouri; brother, James Felt and Cyndi Schroeder of McCook, Nebraska; and one grandson.

Memorial services will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Arapahoe Christian Church, in Arapahoe with the Rev. David Welch officiating. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.

There will be no viewing or visitation, cremation was chosen.
