Mark Allan Kennedy

DANURY, Nebraska -- Mark Allan Kennedy, age 55, of Danbury, died at his home on Feb. 23, 2014.

He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on June 27, 1958, to Jerry and Imogene (Scott) Kennedy. Mark graduated from Lenora High School in 1976. While in high school he worked in Norton, Kansas, as a welder for New Age Welding.

Mark worked several years in the oil fields as a roughneck and a driller. In 1982, he was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him physically impaired and he had to retire from the oil fields. He drove a semi over the road for a period. Mark enjoyed his motorcycle, especially his Harley. He was a lover of dogs. He bowled in McCook on leagues and was involved in a Bible study group.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents and a sister, Sherry Ruff, on Oct. 18, 2013.

He is survived by his sisters, Kelly and husband, Rick Bethel of Wilsonville, Nebraska; Roxanne Kennedy and Shelley McGhie, both of Snohomish, Washington and brother-in-law, Bob Ruff of Oberlin, Kansas.
