Elleen M. Hall

March 22, 1925 - Nov. 8, 2013

BROKEN, BOW, Nebraska -- Elleen M. Hall, 88, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg.

Memorial services "Honoring Elleen" will be at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at the One-Box Convention Center in Broken Bow. Andrew Black will officiate. Burial of ashes has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will follow the service.

Elleen May Ash was born March 22, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska, to George Ira and Marian Edith (Lindquist) Ash.

Survivors of the immediate family include her children, Jerry and Deborah Seimer of Enterprise, Alabama; Judy Rose of Grand Island; Jon and Lisa Seimer of Gothenburg; Robert V. Hall and fiancée, Crystal Darnall of McCook; Christie and T.K. Rogers of Stapleton; and stepdaughters Kathy and Del Varney of Everett, Washington and Laura and Jerry Schultz of Seward.

Also left to cherish her memory, her brother, George Jr. and Ruth Ash of Alma, Nebraska, and too many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to count.

Elleen received her education in Ainsworth, graduating in 1942. She married James Seimer in 1944, and worked full time raising three children. They divorced in 1959 and she moved to BrokenBow, NE. On March 1, 1964, she married Robert L. Hall and was blessed with another son and daughter.

Elleen was a dedicated employee for 25 years at Becton-Dickinson before retiring in 1985. In her "spare" time, she loved to bowl, participating in several local leagues and setting a record of 60 consecutive years bowling in the State Championship Tournaments.

Elleen was also a self-taught taxidermist and always had unique decorations in her front yard on N. 5th Avenue. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and would happily take your money.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eldon; an infant sister; her husband, Bob in 2005; and a son-in-law, Terry Rose.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or the donor's choice.

The family requests informal attire, a bowling shirt if you have one.

Arnold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
