Kalena Knight serves Ken Ely coffee and breakfast at the "new" Fuller's Family Restaurant at 110 Norris Ave. in downtown McCook, Nebraska, when it reopened at 6 a.m. today -- one month after a fire destroyed the West B location. "It feels longer than that for us," said a smiling manager Linda Thayer of the massive effort to resurrect the restaurant operation after the fire July 20 and 21. Once again, cookie jars decorate the windows. Friends of Fuller's saved about 1,600 of Linda's collection of 3,800 cookie jars. Fuller's is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in the former location of the Looking Glass, and -- as the tiles at the front door indicate -- "Olympia" Lunches, Ice Cream and Chocolates. Parking is available on Norris Avenue and A Street, and in the southern half of a parking lot on the alley.

  • Great to see yet another article about Fullers reopening. 3 in 5 days? Fullers is open, they are in the looking glass building, they have parking- point taken.
